"Marta and Raquel make me want to be permanently in construction works... I love working with them because they are extremely customer-oriented and don’t measure efforts to ensure that everything is according to what I need. They are extremely professional from wallpaper choosing to coordination and work supervision.”
“All-inclusive”/ “Turnkey” Project.
A very small 60 square meters apartment with nonexistent or very inefficient storage solutions was rationally transformed into a functional and comfortable two-bedroom apartment.
Contiguous and belonging to this fraction, was a terrace with approximately 50 square meters, being crucial to intervene so as to extend the living social area of the house.
The client’s taste for travel, Art pieces and Design objects is clear in the overall image of the apartment, through its organized "exhibition". Being a project developed according to a contemporary style, certain materials and finishes were chosen to enhance such ambiance – as lacquered glass, mirror walls, textured wallpaper and high gloss lacquer -, as well as, Design furniture/ items. Textures and points in bright colours with neutral bases (grey and white) were mingled.
The project included tailor-made carpentry and upholstery.
The size, irregular configuration and exposure of the terrace dictated the rules to follow for its organization and use. Its new form and function division was achieved by building wooden structures that gave way to flowerbeds and benches platforms. The whole periphery was covered with wooden slats conferring a more private and intimate environment, a hideaway from "looks and strange presences". These structures concealed cabinets for storage of cushions, decorative items, garden tools, etc.
An eating area and a flowerbed for herbs were also provided near the kitchen doorway. The client´s hobby: growing aromatic herbs for cooking was not neglected, leaving a varied smell in the air between the passageway indoor/ outdoor.
